Samba, I still have my cds of metamorphosis and ndoto from years ago when I saw you and your band a few times at Ashkenaz. Guess I will have to get the songs off the best of album that I don't have! (I think metamorphosis was my fave though, a really great album, every song. But....not to compare with live music, hope you do some more shows in and around berkeley/oakland soon!

I stumbled into your music and will for the rest of my life be glad that I did. What you do is not taught nor learned but clearly a gift from God to soothe the hurting souls of humankind. Despite not understanding the lyrics, your artful merger of voice and unique string instruments instantly liberates and warms my heart. Thank you and God bless. By the way, do you have Houston or Dallas in your plans?

Hi Samba, Our daughter was born in 2003 with a life-threatening condition which is now under control, thank God. We gave her the middle name from the title of one of your songs - "Sa Ntima", which means "hope". Driving home from the hospital two weeks after her birth, we played your song "Sa Ntima" over & over, all the way home. To this day, that song brings joy & hope to our hearts. Thank you!
